My research is unified around the theme of antisdiscrimination. It is interdisciplinary, applying insights from analytic philosophy to better understand legal practices. I write about issues in ethics, political philosophy, and philosophy of law that bear on antidiscrimination, including, for example, the relevance of intentions to permissibility, the nature and value of equality, and individual responsibility for collective harm and structural injustice. I also write about legal issues that bear on antidiscrimination, including private law issues such as torts, contracts, and labour and employment law, and public law issues such as statutory, administrative, and constitutional law.
I'm happy to serve as a peer reviewer for manuscripts related to my areas of expertise. I've previously been a reviewer for the following journals:
University of New Brunswick Law Journal; McGill Journal of Law and Health; Review of Constitutional Studies; Osgoode Hall Law Journal; Election Law Journal; American Journal of Political Science; Politics, Philosophy & Economics; International Journal of Discrimination and the Law; Journal of Law & Equality; Australasian Journal of Philosophy
